Voice Lessons: Ashley teaches private singing lessons for ages 12 - adult. She focuses on healthy vocal technique, finding one's true voice and personality along with using acting fundamentals for any type of singing. She has students of all types - professional singers to amateurs and college students to high school/middle school. Let Ashley know what you want to focus on and she will get you where you want to go!​​

Audition Prep: Have an upcoming audition and don't know what to sing? Ashley can help you find material that fits your voice, personality and is right for the role you're going for. She is an accomplished musician and knows how to put audition cuts together (sometimes even clever options!) as well is an actor/director/music director herself, so she knows what is expected.

​Acting the Song: Feeling confident about your singing but want to take your songs to the next level? Ashley will help you work to balance correct vocal technique and sound production with the effort to bring truth and specificity. She will help you choose the best piece for your unique personality and vocal range, how to break down a song for interpretation, and how to analyze a song for acting beats, objectives, and tactics.

Audition Book Prep: Need to put your audition book together or find new pieces? Ashley has an extensive digital library and knowledge of musical theatre. She can help you find and prep songs perfect for your voice/type/needs. Whether you are a professional or young student, Ashley can help you get excited about what is in your audition book.

Online Lessons: At the beginning of the pandemic, Ashley moved her studio online. She now has moved locally back into lessons in person, but continues to teach online and work with people all over the country. Technology has made online lessons a wonderful alternative. Even if you aren't in the Kansas City area, Ashley would love to work with you!

About Ashley
Originally from Wisconsin, Ashley is a professional Equity singer/actress, having lived and worked in NYC and all over the country. In Kansas City, Ashley has been seen at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, New Theatre Restaurant, Kansas City Actors Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Starlight Theatre, Musical Theatre Heritage, Quality Hill Playhouse, and Chestnut Fine Arts Center. Ashley holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. She has studied voice since high school and currently studies with and teaches the IVA Method. Ashley also is an experienced accompanist, having played piano for 34 years. She has been playing for church since she was ten, accompanying students, choirs, and productions since she was 14, and during he time living in NYC, she freelanced as a vocal coach and accompanist. She also plays numerous other instruments, including guitar, bass, ukulele, accordion as well as works as a professional director, musical director and choreographer.
